OUTRAGEOUS 22% TAX INCREASE AGAIN in Atlantic City.

"For Press Release "

(ATLANTIC CITY, JULY 25, 2013) Fresh off a 100% increase in property taxes just six short years ago, Atlantic City residents once again received a tax bill this week containing another 22% increase to their property taxes.

“Six years ago our taxes doubled in Atlantic City. They have risen every year since. And unfortunately, it hasn’t stopped. Once again our local municipal government has hit us with a 22% property tax increase. This is an outrage to all residents of Atlantic City.” said Don Guardian, candidate for Mayor of Atlantic City in the upcoming November election.

Guardian pointed to his work for the Special Improvement District as an example of how much better the city could be run.

“I manage a budget and oversee over 175 employees and work with over 900 property owners for the Special Improvement District.” said Guardian.

“We pick up the trash, clean the streets, keep neighborhoods well lit and provide effective security. All on a budget that’s much less than what the Atlantic City government operates on now.

You can see the results for yourself. This is my vision for all of Atlantic City. I can bring Special Improvement District benefits - at a common sense cost - to all residents of Atlantic City.”

Don Guardian has been the Director of the Atlantic City Special Improvement District’s Division of the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority for the last twenty years. Before that he was Executive Assistant to the President of the Claridge Casino Hotel and spent 15 years as an Executive of the Boy Scouts of America.

A Member and Former Vice-President of the Metropolitan Business Citizen's Association, Don is the current President of the Historical Gardner's Basin Foundation, 35 year member, and former Club President and District Governor of Rotary International, 12 year Member of the Board of the New Jersey Downtown Associatio, 10 year member and Former President of the South Jersey A.I.D.S. Alliance and 7 year Member of the Board of the Atlantic City Boys and Girls Club

A lifelong New Jersey resident, Don has lived in Atlantic City for over 20 years.
